Okay first off minipets.

So, seriously, am I the only one who thinks that mini-pets should be interactable with eatchother? Say you have a Prince Rurik walking around and all of a sudden some player walks by with a Lich, and bam, all of a sudden they're crapping.

BUT, take ths even further and presto! Mini-Pet Fight Betting House!
It will be a straight-up 50/50 bet. Any player can post their nimi-pet and the value of gold to bet, and then someone just clicks on the bet to take it, and then the game arbitrarily decides a winner. This would function much like another MMO's Money Making Game.

Even if the mini's just interact with eatchother in some small way while being fielded.

There could be generic interactions, and some mini-specific

Yeah, no. Polymock has already put far too much Pokeman into the game, no need to degrade it any further. Aside from that, random actions would be impractical in town due to lag issues - that's why only 20 are allowed in a district at any one time.

This. If they went further with polymock, it would have been great and be a way for 1v1 matches, thus easy activity... but it seems that they didn't really develop that idea and thus, although mini pets fight wouldn't be a bad idea, it for sure won't be done..

Additionally, gambling in-game would make ANet fall foul of gambling laws in certain countries. To get around it, each player would have to get something from the event, even if it's something silly like unlucky points.

Also, Rule 5 of starting threads in Sardelac?

Aside from the prior comments, a coin-flip game where you stand around and hope for the best doesn't sound like fun.

You just described Random Arenas.. Anyway, if the point if only about a betting house, then bringing back some kind of xunlai tournament house( which would be an other way of getting reward pts) would be much easier...

Fun to see how everything that is deleted or nerfed would be good today for PvP...

I feel mini-pets are good as they are. They make noises which is cool. I get enough enjoyment that anet acknowledges characters birthdays. If they did add something like this it should just just be animations of them fighting, not an actual combat.

Does anyone actually play polymock ?
I can recall at start of eotn release some players tried it but after that you never heard of it.And now several years after eotn release i can say ive never had a polymock piece drop or even a rare occasion of someone selling a piece.Infact tho i could be wrong but ive never yet seen a guide on doing it - especially on guru.
Gw was aimed for 12 or 13 yrs+ and how many kids of that age are into pokemon ? Most have grown out of it so why they added polymock is beyond me , and i know its been said before many times but i agree that anet should have made polymock PvP - at least when normal pvp dies down for a bit players could do polymock pvp.

No. Simply put, this game will not follow WoW's idea for what they plan to do in MoP. Seriously, the idea of making mini pets fight is just weird. Would you want to see a mini gwen fight a mini bone dragon with her flute? Of course not, though it would quite interesting, seeing how well a flute works as a weapon. It would take too much time, do too little, and this game is played by mostly teens and adults, which as far as I know, don't really like pokemon anymore. WoW is making a big mistake doing this. Seriously... Pandas, "pet" fights, monks. Add Kung Fu Panda and Pokemon together and you will have the next WoW expansion... Tis a shame...

No because some minipets are so rare they cost thousands of ecto and I am sure kanaxai would be one of the best.

PVP polymock arena would be better, people might actually bother playing it then.

Make it like the chess game on the Millenium Falcon. With GW mini pets. I'd play that.

Actually I would love some kind of card based mini game, it could be based on minipet, Lore / NPC characters like Final Fantasy Triple Triad, or a cut down version of magic the gathering.

Now I have an undesirable need to play some magic the gathering, bah.
